About
In the early 90s we found ourselves drawn to the atmosphere of Camden Town, with its iconic music and fashion scene. It was here, amidst Camden's bustling markets, with their diverse array of vintage clothing, handmade crafts, and international street food that we found the perfect backdrop for our entrepreneurial spirit.
We started by working at market stalls selling handmade fair-trade garments from Nepal. Immersing ourselves in the unique energy that has made Camden a legendary destination for locals and tourists alike.
As we explored the fashion scene, we became aware of the environmental impact of the fashion industry. We realized the importance of reducing our carbon footprint and promoting eco-friendly practices in fashion.
This awareness led us to vintage clothing, where we discovered the beauty of reimagining past trends. We embraced vintage clothing to embody this concept, giving garments a new life and minimizing waste.
In 2010, we opened our first vintage shop in Brick Lane, carefully hand-picking unique pieces that tell a story. Over time, we noticed many clothes that were damaged or oversized were often discarded. Instead of letting these garments go to waste, we saw an opportunity to create something special. This inspired us to launch Vintage Reworx, where we transform unusable clothing into unique pieces that would otherwise end up in landfill.
Our logo features the Tibetan infinity knot, symbolizing endless cycles and interconnectedness, reflecting our commitment to sustainability and our roots. Each piece we create not only celebrates fashion but also contributes to a more sustainable future.
Our commitment to sustainability goes beyond just selling clothes. We strive to educate our customers about the importance of reducing carbon footprints and making environmentally conscious choices. By promoting vintage and upcycled fashion, we're very proud of our small contribution to a more sustainable fashion movement.
